Making "You" a Priority

I love to talk about energy! Although we all have 24 hours in a day; 7 days in a week, managing energy is that one thing that can and will set us apart from everyone else.

I often talk about "force ranking" your priorities. By that I mean carefully ranking what is most important in your life. What trips up most clients is where they rank "taking care of themselves". Yes, putting YOU right up there at the top. You see, if YOU don't have the right energy, you can't effectively take care of those you love the most or handle demanding work challenges.

The old paradigm was managing time, avoiding stress, shunning vacation or downtime, and relying on self-discipline. The new paradigm's are:

  2. Seeking Stress
  3. Realizing down time is productive time
  4. Life is a Series of Sprints
  5. Relying on Rituals
  6. Investing in Energy.
